Marlene was spotted by another rescue in a local shelter in Southern California. They noticed right away she was not in good health. Unfortunately, The other rescue could not take in Marlene so they called Caroline to help. Caroline observed the discoloration of Marlene’s fur and bald irritated skin. This is a direct result of being in a small, dirty cage. By first look, one would not be able to tell Marlene is bony and most likely undernourished. A bottom bath and creams, along with a balanced diet of hay, veggies, and pellets will be the first steps in the healing process.
