Long Beach Bunny

A Successful Rescue

With the help from volunteers, we were able to get a bunny in need to Bunny Bunch Rabbit Rescue

On January 21st a bunny was found on the side of the freeway in Coyote Creek in Long Beach, California. He was clearly in rough shape and we needed to get him to Bunny Bunch OC as soon as possible. The person who saved him did not have transportation for the 16-mile journey. Our post about the Long Beach Bunny was shared 30 times on Facebook and we were able to find him a ride. Upon arrival, we noticed his eyes are infected and his ears have been bitten and parts are missing. He was most likely living with other unneutered males before he was dumped.

We are so thankful for our volunteers and social media followers who were able to get this bun to us. He under a watchful eye and will be given the care and love he deserves.

Thank you to the person who found the bunny, and thank you to our volunteer who helped with transportation!

We encourage everyone to attend our classes to learn about rabbits before adopting one so they don’t end up in situations like this. They have so much to give but as their humans, we must be educated. Bunny Bunch offers classes throughout the year, but we also invite anyone to come in and speak with our knowledgeable staff. Both our Montclair and Fountain Valley locations are open Wednesday to Friday from Noon to 6 pm, Saturday Noon to 5 pm, and Sunday Noon to 4 pm.
